About Out Online Events
Many colleagues in the settlement and employment services sector in Ontario remember the online events featured on ONIP.online monthly between 2002 and 2005. Now Skills for Change is reviving this tradition with two workshops for service providers working with internationally-educated professionals.
Our online workshops are 3-5 days long and include a mix of self-directed online activities, group work with other participants through discussion boards, and online conferences While the online conferences require your attendance at a specific time, all other activities can be completed at your convenience.
To participate, you will need a computer with high-speed Internet, and a telephone.
Workshops for Service Providers
Strategies for Engaging Employers to Place Internationally-Educated Professionals
– starting on March 27, 2009.
This workshop will give you an opportunity to learn from some of the innovative strategies and initiatives for labour market integration in Ontario. You will have a change to discuss current issues, and to explore solutions together with colleagues from agencies across the province.
Labour Market Research for Internationally Educated Engineers
– dates to be announced
This workshop will demonstrate how practitioners can assist an Internationally Educated Engineers to develop a career map relevant to their background. Facilitators from Skills for Change, will guide participants on virtual tours of specialized sites with Labour Market Information for engineers.
