Intake Criteria
An internationally-trained professional is eligible for participation
in the ONIP.online mentoring program if he or she:
- has a professional qualification outside Canada
- has not worked in Canada in his / her professional field
- has been in Canada for not longer than three years
- has had some work preparation intervention. This includes:
- Completion of a Job Search Workshop or more extensive Job Search
Preparation program, and/or
- Individual work with an employment or career counselor who has
reviewed the professional resume, interviewing skills, understanding
of the labour market and of job search techniques to ensure that
they are adequate to the Canadian culture and work environment
- has English language level of LINC 5 or equivalent
- has experience in online communication
